The second of the meetings dedicated to the Arab/Islamic World proposed films and documentaries by and about directors coming from “The other shores” of the Mediterranean Sea.
At cinema Eden three meaningful movies were shown by some of the most important directors representative of this geographical area. At the Trevi Cultural Centre two documentaries were on show followed by discussion.
The presence of directors and experts and the rareness of some of the movies proposed made this review a unique occasion to encounter Arab filmography and its aesthetic languages.
“The other shores” was in harmony with the initiative of the Office for Bilingualism and Foreign Languages entitled “Afaq: sceneries of Arabic language and culture”
